Kathie Nichols
Breathtaking Deb, it really makes me want to look closer, oh so beautiful!!!
Deborah Milligan
thanks again kathie. This is related to another painting called Connection – but this one refers to a more difficult transition. Not an easy connection, but rather one fraught with turmoil
Phil Eckert
Hi Deb, this is a powerful work…. fire, brimstone, creation, eruption, anticipation…... fantastic colours… love it !!
BlueKnot
Wow. One of lifes unwilling transitions to be sure. You’ve captured the heat and light wonderfully.
Deborah Milligan replied
thankyou phil and blueknot for your encouraging responses. I did submerge myself completely into this painting, and its pair – connection. And it was so difficult painting this one – it really was a struggle.
M G Pettett
Beautifully selected tonal range. Also conveys a hint of menace, I think. Well done!
Deborah Milligan replied
thanks Avalon. yes, there was menace, anger and frustration in the creation of this one!very difficult. but isnt that often what painting is about – finding solutions to problems.
kafka
Wonderful expressive painting Deb – like a giant furnace throwing out light and change.
Deborah Milligan replied
hi kafka. thanks. that is a very observant response. and exactly what the painting process was like!
Sandra Fisher

Such light in your work! and that is a great thing to be able to achieve in art! brilliant!

Logan Fulcher
WaaahhhH!!!! I love it! A little angry, but controlled, passionate and fiery. Reminds me of lava and earth in motion.
Deborah Milligan replied
ha! thanks FreedinPieces. I love that response! Anger, control and passion were all part of what i was trying to say! It is about a difficult transiation – not an easy shift.
