Coalescence

Deborah Milligan

Coalescence

Oil on canvas, 2006. 1000mm x 1000mm
Original $880 + p&p

This was part of The Deepening exhibtion at the Gippsland Art Gallery in 2007. I painted almost the entire exhibition listening obsessively to the Gotan Project
La Revancha Del Tango. I still find it the best music to paint to. I can lose myself totally in it, immerse myself in the layered rhythyms.

This painting speaks of a healing passion. It is a loving, ephemeral, elemental union: fire, water, earth, air – spiritual, emotional, physical, cerebral. It is breathless and all encompassing. It is wild yet gentle. It is love.

Deb, while looking at this wonderful painting your title struck me! What a wonderful title! There can be a morphology of experiences during a painting session resulting in what you describe better, than anyone could Deb….This painting speaks of a healing passion. It is a loving, ephemeral, elemental union: fire, water, earth, air – spiritual, emotional, physical, cerebral. It is breathless and all encompassing. It is wild yet gentle. It is love.....What beautiful words; with everything combined true healing and the coalescence of flow is induced. Wonderful work, I’m so pleased that it has been featured…..Congratulations Deb….I did try to enlarge the format for better viewing. I hope you have a creative week, full of inspiration and creation! Thinking of you! I raise my glass to you…. Your friend across the seas….Sx

    P.S. Can you hear me????

  • Deborah Milligan replied
