Bloggers’ Bliss — See our streetwear come to life

Welcome! I live in Briagolong in Gippsland, Victoria. It’s a small but stimulating community with many artists, a beautiful view of the mountains and some seriously good swimming holes.

I paint contemporary abstracts and have had solo exhibitions in Melbourne and in the Gippsland Regional Gallery as well as many group shows. I work full time (in arts management) but make time for my studio practice. I recently started printmaking and have shown my works in a number of group exhibitions in Gippsland and Melbourne. I also collaborate with my husband to make furniture and sculptural steelwork.

I have just added a blog post on my website talking about the history of our new powerhammer – from the1920’s to today. My husband and I are using it to create sculptures, architectural steel and so on. The blog post is a good read (if I do say so myself) and has already drawn one previous user of the powerhammer out of the woodwork – are there any more out there?

littlemilligan - bespoke furniture and sculptural steel

littlemilligan / I have just updated my website – bespoke furniture and sculptural steel (and my paintings) and would really appreciate some feedback. It is a work in progress. I changed it so that I could manage it more easily – it is now a Wordpress site which includes a blog. / Thanks! Deb

What drives you to creation?

I’ve been getting back into the blog a bit lately and really enjoying it. I would love any feedback from you, or comments on it. In the latest post I ask the question What drives you to creation?
