Thanks Karen, Im not good on giving descriptions, the Liverbird is Liverpools emblem and it is said to be the body of a cormorant and head of an eagle – as you can see when we went to visit the place it was freeeeezing and foggy – thanks for the visit……Cris

Hay Val, there are a couple of myths about the birds, body of a cormorant and head and feet of an eagle, supposed to be a pair and one myth is the female is looking out to sea for the return of the sailors and the male is looking inland to ensure the pub is open LOLO – thanks for the fav….Cris
