Snake Charmers of Jemaa El Fna by

This is a re-edit of the snake charmers who set up in the Jemaa El Fna square of Marrakech, Morocco.

When the square was empty the charmers would take refuge from the sun under the big umbrella. The snakes were kept under the drums to keep them calmed and were swapped over every so often. The charmers would use music to make the snake perform and attract you in for a closer look the other charmers would then approach you and offer the snake out to you and then try and get you to have your photograph taken with it around your neck.

If your ok with snakes you can try and barter with them for a cheap photo. If your not a big fan of touching snakes then be prepared to cough up if you dont want to be wearing a slippery tie for the next five minutes until they give up.

Taken handheld with a Canon 50d and a 55-250mm lens.
