The Duomo (Cathedral) of Florence in Italy is a most amazing building, that dominates the city.
It is very hard to get a good shot of it, because the Piazza is small, so you cannot get far enough away, there are always LOTS of people, and to top it of the weather was appalling when I was there.. Drizzling.
Anyway, this is a 3exp HDR through a 7mm ultra wide lens. – thus the BENT bell tower ;-)

even a fisheye cannot capture the Duomo and its tower in one shot! You tried to show the maximum :)

  • Why Thanks you! It was a struggle.. I had to bash hundreds of tourists out of the way with my tripod too ;-)
Actually I had to wait for a while before I could get a clear enough shot, and it was hand held – a Gorillapod is not a good weapon…

Yes you are right it is hard to get a good image of this amazing building. Very creative the angle and lens you used. I have some interesting pictures of the Duomo.

  • Thanks Amy
