Eary Morning Fog - Rye East Sussex by

The Sun greets the early morning fog in Mermaid Street, in the ancient town of Rye in East Sussex.
This is the view that we awoke to see from our window in the Mermaid Inn, during a recent trip there.
Rye was a major port & smuggler’s base before the estuary silted up in the 17th Century, not is is far inland!

brilliant capture of the rooftop textures and what a great bonus to see the fog contrasting with the sunshine

  • Thank you. It was exactly what I was trying to capture.

Congratulation on your “Feature”. Do be careful, however, that you don’t slip and fall from the roof top whilst you are up there capturing your wonderful images {grin}.

  • Thanks umm.. Jake! I was hanging out the window for this one, but the Oly E-620 has a movable LCD, so I had just my arms out.
For this one I had to climb out a fire escape though ;-)
