St. John's Chapel - Tower of London by

St. John’s Chapel is the “most elegant and best preserved Anglo-Norman church interiors in existence”
This is inside the “White Tower” inside the Tower of London, and was built sometime between 1066 and 1087.
This is quite a long exposure image to bring out the detail.

I love this picture, the colours and composition is fantastic. Can you feel the age of the place, a lot of history , it is hard to imagine all the people who have been in there over hundreds of years. Good thing the roof is high as I think you might feel too much energy in there.

  • Yes, it has a strong feeling. It drips history. It is weird, as I am an Australian ( now living in Europe) but anything man-made older that 200 years in Australia is a stone tool! This is pushing 1000 years old!

Exactly, there is no age to anything here so it is almost unbelievable to even imagine something so old. I actually have a few ancient stone tools from Aboriginals, my uncle was given them when he was a drover out west, he had friends there.

A stunning shot and love the colours.

  • Yeah. They have lots of hidden lights and you cannot go past a rope.
