There have been a few times when I have looked at a scene and it has taken my breath away. This was one of those times. The painted Desert is on a detour off the road from Coober Pedy to Oodnadatta in South Australia.
Unfortunately I had to take this image in the middle of the day and in my awe struck state didn’t do it justice, so this image has been worked a fair bit in Lightroom so it resembles what I actually saw on the day.
