The Return of the Intrepid Photographer by Neil Boucher

Posted on November 03, 2009

I think it is about 12 months since The Intrepid Photographer first set foot on the rock shelves of the Mornington Peninsula and was reported by me here and here.

I happened to be on the rock shelves at Bay of Islands last night and was lucky enough to capture these glimpses of the Intrepid Photographer’s seasonal return.

I must say I can understand why he keeps coming back to this beautiful area!

He’s brave as well as intrepid, Neil, and he’s chosen some lovely views. I wonder when we’ll see his latest work on RB (or perhaps we already have).

  • Neil Boucher:

Thanks Bevan, yep I guess you already have :)

I would love to see him at work, in those situations he makes a great subject. Wayne

  • Neil Boucher:

Trouble is you have to get out there with him – or use a bloody long lens! These were all shot with a 16-32 on a full frame camera.

Neil, I think you and the The Intrepid Photographer need to get out more often than once every 12 months (to the Peninsula) looking at these great shots! :-)

  • Neil Boucher:

    Thanks Steve. much appreciated.

Someone obviously doesn’t mind getting their feet wet! Hope the waters warmer than it looks! Love the shots, especially the second one.

  • Neil Boucher:

Thanks Lorraine, the rocks are so rough to walk on that your feet are numb anyway!
