For those of you who are not ‘watching’ Larry Davis but may be ‘watching’ me, I’ll quickly make mention of an impromptu outing he and I are planning this Friday to Photograph Puffing Billy.
My intention is to be at the Monbulk Creek trestle bridge in plenty of time to photograph the train as it crosses the bridge at around 10:40 if my guess is correct.
At this stage I will be taking my car from Werribee and will have room for up to three additional passengers. Of course if anyone else wants to tag along, the more the merrier.
I’ll add more later.

That sounds like great fun, wish I could but weekdays are not good for me, we might take the kids on a weekend soon though, they’ll love it!

Never mind Jane, normally I wouldn’t be into week day outings either – just making hay while the sun shines so to speak.
Yes, your kids would really enjoy it I’m sure.

Is the plan to get on the train somewhere or just follow it along for photo ops?

Although my initial purpose is to just take photos of the train, there is no reason why those that want to can’t actually ride the train.
In fact, I think we may be able to cater for both – there are trains leaving Belgrave at both 10:30am and 12:20pm (with the second only going as far as Lakeside).
