Love your work, Neil! Reminds me of a Dombrovskis pic I’ve got on the wall at home. Looks like you’ve had a very productive visit to Cradle!

Hi Neil,
The Fagus really put on a show for you. This is one of the most stunning images of Dove Lake i’ve seen.

Thanks Justin and Rick. Yes Rick I’m pretty happy with it considering I was initially a bit disappointed that it wasn’t a blaze of red! lol
Janice Elanor ..., about 1 year ago
It doesn’t need to be a blaze of red.. it is perfect just like that.
..But you could always go back again next year!!
Cradle mountain is such a photography mecca these days it is rare that I see an image of it that truly stands out. this one does. thankyou for seeing it for us.

Great shot Neil, we’ve been their three times now and have seen it shrouded in cloud, raining, and once when it was one of the only sunny days that occur there, with still some snow on top, going back in November for more pictures.

Thanks Janice, Christine, Pat.
I am hoping my 3rd trip there this year will see it with a blanket of snow. Of course wishing for that AND a fine day is a big ask!

That trip was certainly worthwhile. I was there at Easter 2004, and it wasn’t a patch on this. Lucky (read: wise) man
