One would think that the pier would be the primary focus of the viewer here (and maybe it is for some), but for me it is the warm golden light on the rocks in the foreground that really grabs me. Small aperture, starburst sun, and superb depth-of-field. [Did you use a reverse grad for this?] This is a great photograph, Neil! Cheers! Chris

  • KathyT

Stunning Neil. Love the depth from the loooog pier and the smooth water contrasts beautifully with the texture of the rocks. The sun rays on the horizon and light on the rocks top it off beautifully. Well worth the 4am start I’d say though I’m glad I don’t need to get up that early to get my seascapes :o)
