Would we – could we?
Wouldn’t it be good if
We could take a pill
To stop us doing what we shouldn’t?
Medication for temptation
Wouldn’t it be simple
If we could take a tablet
Just to keep from being sinful?
An end to all the messes
The distresses and excesses
We’d still get the choices
But they’d take away the yesses.

Today we had to “converse with images” – pick a favourite picture and use it as a jumping-off point for writing a poem. So, I chose to explore my comic, “Should I or shouldn’t I”, mostly because it’s one of my only comics without dialogue.
