Thanks Christine – yes I like finding “art” in the simple everyday world. So many times I think there is this assumption that if you want to paint for example – a still – life, then it has to be this sumptous thing flowing with shiny objects, fruit and flowers not to mention metres of fabric enough to wrap the Tate Modern in. So I find it very satisfying to do away with all that and just use whatever I can get my hands on at the time.
