I consider myself to primarily be a painter and continue my passion of painting in between, work, theatre commitments and meetings. I share life with Jane, a metal sculptor in the making along with our 2 dogs Rose & Olley, cats Nugget, Tilley and the spirit of Bella and 5 chooks – collectively called “The Girls”
Home is on the flat dry northern plains of Victoria 3 hours from Melbourne and a decent coffee!... .actually that’s not quite true, we’ve been saved by a fabulously new local arty farty cafe called “The Long Paddock” and they make a truly “Melbourne” coffee – and the food is to die for!!
Over the years I have worked in a variety of mediums and genres from miniatures to portraits, still life, abstract, murals and mosaic sculpture.
I am inspired by and love the work of Grace Cossington Smith, Margaret Olley, Bonnard, Van Gogh, & Lucian Freud. And enjoy the works of Morandi, Monet, Cezanne, Pissaro, Duncan Grant, Vanessa Bell,and Vulliard to name just a few.
