I consider myself to primarily a still-life painter.
Home is Barham/Koondrook, on the Mighty Murray River. Inspiration for my work comes from everyday life and objects collected over the years or from searches on ebay. Some moments are captured on camera and used later, others come spontaneously.
Over the years I have worked in a variety of mediums and genres from miniatures to portraits, still life, abstract, murals and mosaic sculpture; However, Still life remains my favourite genre.
I am inspired by and love the work of Grace Cossington Smith, Margaret Olley, Bonnard, Van Gogh, & Lucian Freud. And enjoy the works of Morandi, Monet, Cezanne, Pissaro, Duncan Grant, Vanessa Bell, and Vulliard to name just a few.
