An abandoned church near the River Thames upstream from Windsor. It formerly served bargemen and dockworkers at the dock for timber from Windsor Forest. The church was acquired by Friends of Friendless Churches in 1983.

I am a retired botany prof from the University of Maryland, living in Greenbelt, Maryland. I’ve been taking photos for many years. I especially am passionate about landscapes and historical landmarks, my favorite areas are England, the Colorado Plateau, Maryland, and my boyhood home of Indiana.

    a wonderful shot of a place that I dearly love!
    I live a couple of miles away and take frequent walks along the Thames here.
    the church is not in service, but is well kept and could be visited: you need to borrow the key from the Boveney Lock keeper :)
