Change
Originally, I had intended this quilt as an abstract depiction of an historical, three-day battle (represented by the three large triangular motifs). By the time I had finished the work, however, I realized that it was how I saw change—sharp angles and seemingly disjointed paths. Since I’ve long associated change with red, it seemed only appropriate to execute the design in that color against a stark, black background.
