The Willow ( Fifth poem in the series)

In “The Willows” branches she sits
Beneath the weeping canopy she fits
Under the greenness of the leaves
Embraced by the gentleness of the breeze
She sees “HIM”
The “Angel” thought her chances slim
She has dreamed of nothing but his return
The laws of the land if broken … stern
Her love for this boy , now a man
Can withstand anything … she believes it can
The darkness of his hair
The intenseness of his stare
Reminds her of that first day
How she begged and pleaded for him to stay
How “The Willow” instantly made everything ok
When she watched her love walk away….
The “Human” finally sees his angel up in the tree
“Come down my love sit with me”
Unsure of his return and what it meant
The “Angels” reaction was hesitant
“Why are you here after all this time?”
“I thought you were no longer mine.”
As she climbs down the branches of “The Willow” tree
She hears “The Willow” whisper “I am right here if you should need me”
