A really moody piece of work, the HDR treatment has really lifted the clouds and the reflections.

Well Pauline, the clouds have come out very well, plus the yellows & reds of the boats. I like it!

Works very well with HDR, the shot or shots have to be good in the first place. Great effort.

What a way to start my day! A wonderful photo Pauline and you’ve done an excellent job with the HDR. It’s all too easy to overdo that but you’ve nailed it first time! My memories of Poole Harbour are that is always used to be the place where the rich and famous kept their boats. I shall always remember seeing Billy Cotton’s massive boat – called Wakey Wakey (that was his catch phrase) I also once saw Max Bygraves’ boat moored there. Wonderful stuff and can we now expect to see this new you more often – please??? Peter

A simply beautiful image and your first go at HDR is brillant. Im just trying it out to it can be fun but nerve racking at the same time. I am just using 1 image to do HDr with. What about you?

Love this shot – I have tried HDR briefly, but can’t get results like this.
I must do some ‘googling’ for help.

This would fit in the HDR group i put a couple in and they seem to be accepted even if i do use 1 image to create them. Only stipulation is you have to put what programme or process you used to create them. Alos good place to ask for help and ideas and see other works done. Karen : )

Agree with you on the HDRs sometimes being tooooo much. But they can be made to look pretty natural like this one you did. And great to hear you had great Mother’s Day. Hell, why not twice?!

I am interested in HDR but have never given it a chance I must admit – I am the only one of the 3 hosts that hasn’t! I have the ways to do it on the DSLR but no the programme – one day I might eh?!
