Lovely photograph of a Goldfinch. Excellent out of focus background. Shallow depth of field but sharp around the eyes where it counts. Also good composition with the eyes on the top right third with space to look into. The leaf bottom right is a little distracting but wish I had taken this excellent photograph.

I have a garden full of Goldies, but still havn’t managed a good picture as they are a bit skittish, and my Sony camera has a noisy shutter. This is a delight – crisp shot yet slight soft focus has really brought out the beauty of the plumage. Excellent work.
