“Hummingbird darts lightly through the world, spreading its message of joy and beauty, and teaching us to appreciate the wonder and magic of everyday existence. Hummingbird brings the gift of joy. Learn to laugh and be happy.
This little Hummingbird became almost human in size on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Winterfest in Wurtsboro, New York, USA.
The Wurtsboro Winterfest, hosted and presented by the Wurtsboro Board of Trade, would not be successful without the many local business and community members who donate their efforts to this amazing weekend. The fest is filled with family fun activities!
The Wurtsboro Winterfest takes place in historic Wurtsboro, N.Y. A quaint town located at the foothills of the Catskills region, between Middletown and Monticello – Port Jervis and Ellenville, right off Highway 17 exit 114/113 or at intersection of Route 209 and Sullivan Street.
Ice artists are invited to bring their carving tools and create a fun day for many people.
Each carver/team was given 1 ice block (10” x 20” x 40”), and all competed for the best carving for cash prizes. A day of fun for sure!
