“He who opens a school door, closes a prison.”
Located in Palenville, New York, USA.
A one room schoolhouse (circa 1860) in use until 1955, Common School No. 10 retains its 300 pound school bell in the open belfry. A volunteer teacher is on site during summer months to talk about this registered historic landmark.
This is a back/side view of the old school as the snow was piled with rocks at the end of the front drive, making it dangerous to try to walk in with no boots!
