“When sleeping women wake, mountains move.” ~Chinese Proverb
A turn of the century brothel in the Catskill Mountains, of New York, USA. Though the brothel now is silenced forever, the building remains as a memory of many waking women!
I sat many a time in this dwelling when it was a countryside tavern, I met the owner who was the grandson of the owner of the Brothel, and indeed the history of this place is correct. The women woke and the mountains moved! The trains ran nearby and the road was a main route for all travel across the mountains in those day! From what was told to me, it was a most lucrative business in those days! All in all it was a place for some to call home!
Composed in DAP and Photoshop. Two images created in DAP, one of the mountains and one of the dwelling both layered in Photoshop individually, a texture was added with low opacity. All layers adjusted, then flattened for presentation.
