‘Father Time is not always a hard parent, and, though he tarries for none of his children, he often lays his hand lightly upon those who have used him well; making them old men and women inexorably enough, but leaving their hearts and spirits young and in full vigor. With such people the gray head is but the impression of the old fellow’s hand in giving them his blessing, and every wrinkle but a notch in the quiet calendar of a well-spent life." ~Charles Dickens
Photo manipulation composed in Photoshop. One digital painting of Father time created in Twisted Brush, two photographic landscape images of the Catskill Mountains of New York, two background images hand painted. All images replicated as layers in Photoshop, adjusted for color and opacity, some effects and filters, texture added to top layer, flattened for presentation. Total of 17 layers were involved in creating this image.
Inspired by the grace of watching others grow old, seeing the aging differences in my own life, and knowing that youth resides within all of us if we choose to seek it!
