Looking through from the inside of the old covered bridge in Downsville, New York, USA. This bridge was built in 1854, and remains in public use as the only crossing point on the immediate area of Downsville, across the East Branch Creek.
**This is NOT the inside of the same covered bridge displayed yesterday.

“Sing like no one’s listening,
love like you’ve never been hurt,
dance like nobody’s watching,
and live like its heaven on earth.”

Great image, I love the engineering that is visible inside these old bridges, they are truss suspension systems most of them the Howe-truss design, named for William Howe who engineered the self supporting span system.
Thanks much, yes most here are truss bridges.
