Inside image of the old Greenfield Schoolhouse, about three miles from my home. The schoolhouse was re-opened this summer as a museum for the passerby to visit and step back in time. The old school taught lessons to children grades 1-8, the older children sitting on this side of the room at the larger desks. The building was erected sometime around 1836, although history has not told the exact date. The school is complete with original desks, books and other items pertinent to the history of the one room schoolhouse.
