Styrofoam relief print

Richmond Hill, GA
Paired with the word image Southern Courtesy

Korths’ styrofoam relief prints have been, since mid December, paired with word images created within hours, at the most, days of each other. Her meditative, whimsical and lively works highlight adventures since mid Dec. 2011 when she traveled with her mother to GA to stay with her brother in the Low Country just south of Savannah, GA.

Since she has been back, she did her first performance piece at Bluseed Studio’s February Third Thursday Open Mic. Two original prints and a word image were presented to the audience. They chose which original went best with the word image. Then all read the word image together. Korths’ works are evolving to encompass many media; visual, literal and interactive performance.

Rich colors, shadow, natural light, warmth, feelings, improvisation, sense of place, coastal Georgia and Lake Champlain, closeups, unusual perspectives and angles, fresh.
