Moon Lighting
I aimed to photograph the ocean baths from a different perspective to what I had seen when I researched my trip. I wasn’t sure how this one would look but when printed I really liked it. This shot was taken on my first night at the ocean baths and although it was very windy and the clouds have quite a bit of movement in them, I really like the reflection of the moon in the water. Made getting a bit wind-blown worthwhile…

Wow Kylie this is absolutely spectacular and looks surreal…I love the moonlight on the water and you have captured this so beautifully. Well done.
Kylie Reid replied
Thanks Anthea. I kind of think myself lucky when I see things like this. The view was different each night.

Love the lighting in this one the sky and moon reflection are amazing
Kylie Reid replied
Thanks Travis. About 2 nights later the moon was much clearer however I decided to retire early that night and had to be content to just watch it while having gelato and coffee at the café across the road – oops!

I think the movement of the clouds really adds to the image. Great work!
Kylie Reid replied
Thanks Steph. Just a fraction less movement would have been good but never mind.

the light on the water is truly awesome Kylie – I can see why you also like it :)
Kylie Reid replied
Thanks Tone. I really envy your proximity to our coast now, it was great to be walking distance from the water.

Hi Kylie…I just love the way that water is ‘shimmering’ ! A bit like a recent image of my own in that regard.
I often say that once you live on the coast, it’s very hard to leave it as a home – no matter where I go that stands true… :)
