That’s me in the background, with my daughter Emily who, along with my partner Sarah, is the most important part of my life.
After my family, art is the second most important aspect of my life. I am an architect by profession and it is this that underpins most of my artistic endeavors. I spend my working life thinking about space, how it is created and 3 dimensional composition and I think this is probably reflected in my paintings and photography.
My paintings are generally abstract in nature and done in acrylics, often with charcoal. They strive to capture not a representation but the essence of a form, emotion or concept. I am interested in dynamics, movement and perspectives and how this can be represented through form and colour.
I live in Yorkshire and my photography hopefully captures some of the beautiful, inspiring landscapes that I have the good fortune to have on my doorstep.
Thank you for looking at my images, if you like any of my work or think you can help me to improve please do leave some feedback.

I thought I would just share how surprised I was to discover that my painting Flower1 is currently featured on the redbubble homepage. I cannot tell how pleased I am about this and a huge thankyou to Redbubble and all the people who have commented and / or favorited the work it is very much appreciated. Congratulations also to the other people featured. / Cheers / Nathan
I thought I would write a little follow up jounal after some of my paintings had recently been included within an exhibition. I hope that some of my experience will provide a few pointers for those who by design or accident find themselves venturing into the world of galleries, exhibitions and, dare I say, trying to pursuade people to part with hard earned money for one of your works. I think my …
