I was looking at the features to get some inspiration, when I came across Alison’s Dial Tone and the corresponding prompt. So, here you are.

It was 3:00 am.

“Yeah?” she answered groggily.

“Tomorrow, you will live.”

“What?,” she asked, wide awake now. The phone went dead.

Helen tossed and turned the entire night.

“I had the weirdest dream last night.” She lifted her collar against the cool wind and the chill memory.

“Yeah?,” Sandra replied.

“Yeah. I dreamt that someone called and told me that I would live today.”

“You’d live, huh? Grim Reaper straying from convention, don’t you think?” The two women walked into the street. “Why wouldn’t you expect to live today?”

“I don’t—”

She broke off as a car rammed into her best friend.
