I needed and excuse to test drive the fancy new uploader and I also wanted to work on a little something for the challenge Danny put out a couple of days ago, asking for our take on a visual representation of the Muse track entitled Thoughts Of A Dying Atheist.
Last week I spent some time in an antique shop in Brighton, sifting through a box of old photographs I found in a corner. As I wondered about the lives of the people who took them, I thought about someone sifting through all my crap when I’m gone. That in turn reminded me of a Bill Hicks quote … “One of my big fears in life is that I’m gonna die and my parents are going to come to clean out my apartment and find that porno wing I’ve been adding on to for years” …
The design is about the memories you leave behind and the crap that someone will inevitably have to sort through.

Haha. There’s a sliding scale of inappropriate Bill Hicks quotes :) I’d rate that one at about a four.

I kick myself for not drawing more on a daily basis. Thanks for providing yet another nudge Scott … :) And I agree … there should be way more of it in the tee section in general.

I have boxes and boxes of old slides that someone took over a period of about 10 years I think… they are awesome and I have been thinking of what I can do with them… I love what you have done with your finds, gorgeous stuff Nat.

I know. I was thinking that when I was there! I was supposed to be spending some quality time with the other half (non RedBubble time) but next time I’m heading down I’ll definitely give you a shout. It only took just over an hour for me to drive down so a Brighton meetup could be a great idea :)
