A last minute entry for the latest t-shirt revolution challenge.
I was prompted to make this tee while reading about Dr Charles Teo, the controversial but well known neurosurgeon who’s had quite a bit of media attention in Australia. It got me thinking about how our magazines and newspapers are usually filled with stories of z grade celebrities and pop starlets but there are so many truly incredible people who are rarely as celebrated.
I don’t want to get all “Daily Mail” on you but sometimes I can’t help feeling that celebrity culture is creating a generation of women who think Jordan is a role model and aspire to careers as glamour models. Maybe if we gave a bit more air time to the true heroes in this world, like the people who are saving lives and pioneering new medical technologies, they’d at least be aware that there are other options.

Nats, perfecto. I just read through the entirety of the Evening Standard Article (Thank you very much, I’m going to reference it in my Sociology Essay) and have decided that I would feel alot better about the world if I had of just stayed on RedBubble and admired your tee design talents for that 5 minutes of my life. I do love your work, I can see little blue electric currents running through the labyrinth of the brain beneath the trees.

A sad state of affairs indeed. Cool tee Nat. It’d be interesting to see those two girls wearing this, they’d probably turn it into a crop top though.
