Natalie Tylergiver of t-shirt love

For Danny and Najeroux

If this works I promise to fine tune the delivery, technology and sound issues. It’s just an idea … that may spark other ideas.

Step 1: Record long winded rambling
Step 2: Save as .wav file cos I can’t figure out how to make it into an mp3
Step 3: Sign up to 4shared as I have nowhere to host it
Step 4: Try and figure out how to make it appear in a browser instead of as a download
Step 5: Give up and link to the download
Step 6: Hope to hell I don’t sound like a complete moron

  1. link to .wav file
  2. streaming mp3 (thanks to Paul – you’re hired!)

Listening now, Redbubble Radio sounds an excellent idea. And talking over the end of the song, the hallmark of all top radio presenters :) Do you not need a license to broadcast music, or does that not apply to podcasts? Who knows, filling a few minutes of silence anyway so good work!

  • Natalie Tylergiver of t-shirt love replied

Er. I think this would have to be an ‘unofficial thing’ due to my lack of professionalism and I’m not sure about the licencing issues. This is a case of me running with an idea … it may be short lived!

  • Paul McClintock

    Paul McClintockZuul, the Gatekeeper

I could turn this into an mp3 for you if you want.

  • Natalie Tylergiver of t-shirt love replied

    That would be awesome.

  • Paul McClintock

    Paul McClintockZuul, the Gatekeeper

    Redbubble needs a podcast.

  • Natalie Tylergiver of t-shirt love replied

Yes … I think we might be on to something here.

  • Paul McClintock

    Paul McClintockZuul, the Gatekeeper

Alright, I’m gonna post this via my blog, as it would take too long to sign up to a filesharing site… one moment.

  • Natalie Tyler

    Natalie Tylergiver of t-shirt love

    I love the internet.

Now that I’ve turned it into an Mp3, I can actually listen to it.

  • Natalie Tylergiver of t-shirt love replied

Brilliant! You’re hired. I can see the hit count too which is a bit scary …

  • Paul McClintock

    Paul McClintockZuul, the Gatekeeper

You know, I didn’t expect you to have an aussie accept.

  • Natalie Tylergiver of t-shirt love replied

I’m just putting one on ;)

and I downloaded all 54.8mb :p – nice (and quick) work Paul. Nat – just love it. I’m sure the idea will evolve into all sorts of things, but for now Led Zep’s on in the background and that’s just cool with me. :)

  • Natalie Tylergiver of t-shirt love replied

I’m glad you approve of the musical selection … :)

  • Paul McClintock

    Paul McClintockZuul, the Gatekeeper

    buh… accent!

  • rubyred

    rubyred

That was strange (in a good way) I’d like RedBubbleRadio streaming all day at work please.

  • Natalie Tylergiver of t-shirt love replied

Haha. Yes. In retrospect it’s all a bit weird. If I’d have thought this through then common sense may have prevailed ;)

  • Paul McClintock

    Paul McClintockZuul, the Gatekeeper

Common sense is for … those other people!

  • Natalie Tylergiver of t-shirt love replied

Haha. Yes. The sensible people. Who wants to be one of those eh …

  • rubyred

    rubyred

No, no, no – common sense is not a good idea. Weird and strange is the way to go.

  • Natalie Tylergiver of t-shirt love replied

I was more comfortable with just strange ;)

  • Natalie Tylergiver of t-shirt love replied

An intro clip you say? Hmmm … I’m liking this idea. I’ll put it on the brainstorming list ;) Thanks DL.

  • Paul McClintock

    Paul McClintockZuul, the Gatekeeper

Diesel, you’s got good production values.

  • Natalie Tylergiver of t-shirt love replied

Yes folks … that’s how it’s done professionally!

  • Diesel Laws

    Diesel Laws

Thanks, and it’s ok to ramble….just make sure you have a very soft instrumental track underath your voice and it doesnt sound as slow eheheh :D Worked for me…then I continued to ramble and it went way outa control…

P.s. I use Tracktion2 to record my audio. You can also have many layers – dont know if its free tho. But you can use Audacity I believe

  • Natalie Tylergiver of t-shirt love replied

Yep. That’s what I used but I couldn’t figure out how to convert to mp3. It was trying to locate another program I didn’t have.

  • Natalie Tyler

    Natalie Tylergiver of t-shirt love

I’d like to hear some other voices so if anyone else can figure out how to do this then go ahead and upload something. There’s no way you can sound any more weird than me shouting over Led Zep. Perhaps we need a rough guide on how to record and link to an audio clip?

  • Paul McClintock

    Paul McClintockZuul, the Gatekeeper

I wish I had a microphone – I might be able to sticky tape a broken headset back together… hmm…

  • Natalie Tylergiver of t-shirt love replied

Yes…that’s me….....LOL….Thank you!!!! I set the blog up as a joke and did songs very badly on purpose. Occasionally one or two (like this one) sounded decent, but I left them up anyway.

I used to teach music, have been wanting to get back to composing and performing. Maybe I’ll do some music to accompany my images, not certain.

    You’re very kind!! Thanks again!
