I have a slightly unhealthy obsession with reading interior design magazines and blogs like decor8 and Living Etc. I’ve been wanting to experiment with patterns and colour palettes a little more and to try using some of the elements you see in homewares and textiles to create wall art. Firstly I need to master a few things in Illustrator, so this is just a little bit of practice …

It’s a clever visual effect, you almost see circles in the middle of the crosses and they seem to flicker – something good happening here Nat.

Thanks Roger … It’s something different so thought I’d whack it up :)

... certainly an optical illusion going on – looks cool. Like the colours as well.

Thanks Naf4d. I’m secretly hypnotising people so they comment ;)

Great designs, Natalie. The squares design definately gives an illusion of movement. As Rubyred says, it almost looks like circles forming in the centre cross section.

I can see the hypnotising thing happening…..lol! Very trippy, but compelling!

I really like it… especially the background squares.

Do I see a bit of wood grain to keep us grounded?
Wonderful both large and small views.
