Moth
This was taken in December 2007 in Port St Johns in South Africa. It was one of the biggest and most beautiful moths I had ever seen.

One of the Most amazing Moths I have ever seen, I have one that is really big part of it disintegrated but as soon as I find where I had packed it I will have to post it, but it is definitely not close to how wonderful this is and it is still alive and well. This reminds me of a decorative area rug, that one would see in a Five Star Chalet. Great Capture

WOW, Natalie .. this is so beautiful. I can see the texture and not only is the moth stunning but the texture of the spot where it is lying has a wonderful texture to it also.

That looks huge. What size was it from wing tip to wing tip?

It must have been about 20cm from wing tip to wing tip. I had never seen one as big! It’s wings looked incredibly velvet like, such a beautiful creature!
