    The illustrative and the abstract give this a pulp fiction cover/NY street art quality. It’s certainly evocative of the dark side of urban life for me. Initially, I thought of Stella Vine’s paintings. But that comparison was superficial. I can easily see this in a gallery here in Hoxton. It’s a raw and compelling painting, Nasher.

    thanks again for your very detailed comments nicholas. to be honest i’m struggling to get a good photo of this one as the colour never seems to come up just right on it. send me on the name of that gallery in hoxton too!!

    You might need to invest in some photo editing software. It can help to tweak the colour and contrast. It is frustrating though because photos never quite show the true colour, or texture even when you’ve adjusted them back to look like the original painting.
