Litoria Chloris (Red-eyed green tree frog)
This little guy is really a little guy; he’d just about fit into a matchbox, but the noise generated from such a small creature is astounding – in fact, it is deafening! There were half a dozen frogs present at the time, some enjoying a swim in the pool, but this little fellow was on the glass of the pool fence, hence the reflection. He looks like he’s checking himself out in the reflection… or testing the water for a bit of a dip himself; the glass certainly has a fluid-like quality about it… or perhaps he’s wanting to eat one of the little, blue fishies. Regardless, he looks so happy :D ( PS: Angie Davies, a fellow bubbler, said “he looks like he is ready to dance in a chorus line of a Broadway play.” Thanks Angie, you may be right! )
With the exception of very ‘minor’ colour saturation and contrast adjustments, gentle sharpening and some cloning of a blue blotch, this photo is pretty much straight out of the camera. I didn’t have to do much to it. The photo was taken at night with flash, and is a good effort (even if I do say so myself) considering the camera is just a ‘point and shoot’. I rarely do night photography; it’s just too bloody dark LOL, but I’m glad I made an effort on this occasion.
