Bill is a self-taught artist only taking his products seriously within the last few years. He has found his niche in pencil crayon, oils, oil pastel and photography. Although still a hobby, Bill hopes to gain enough recognition to make his work become a large part of his daily focus. He is eager to accept new challenges and will accept commission work with consultation.

Trees, unique natural landscapes and wildlife are among his favorite subjects. Bill enjoys the textures and unrestricted artistic freedom found in the makeup of nature’s living things, rocks and water. Spending much of his childhood in the splendor of the Muskoka area of Ontario, Canada, he has a keen appreciation and sensitivity for the outdoors. Bill has been surrounded since childhood by people with similar interests as his grandfather, father and uncle all have displayed their talents through landscape painting. With careful attention to detail and a desire to recreate a realistic “feel” to his work he is now focusing on the beauty found in the Huronia region of southwestern Ontario.

Bill and his wife Cathy are currently residing between Watford and Strathroy, Ontario in an old church and he is now retired from teaching elementary school in Middlesex County. Other interests include sports, outdoor recreation, writing and music. He continues to actively entertain in local establishments playing guitar and singing retro pop, country and rock music. He is one of the founding members of a locally popular country-rock group known as “The Maple Sugar Music Co.” who have played for many years out of the Parkhill area. Bill has also written a (as yet unpublished) novel targeting youth’s values and relationships.
