super vantage point and depth of field. i love all the different temperatures of light. great texture contrast between the tree and its root structure and the cityline. well done
Thankyou so VERY much for your feedback, J.K.! :-) It’s great and very interesting to hear what others think makes a shot good or even perhaps not as good as it might be. Thanks so much for taking the time to give me your thoughts! Much appreciated :-)

beautiful lights – both foreground and background : very nice (making me quite homesick!)
Thanks so much, Berndt2! :) Ha ha… maybe you should do as the picture title suggests and ‘Return to Oz’. LOL Thanks for your comments!
Great composition. Beautiful picture.
Thanks so much, Rodney! :-)
Congratulations! Your photo has been featured in “A Night somewhere ….”This photo was chosen because it was of a very high quality and it captured exactly the sort of work we are looking for in this group. Please keep up the great work and we hope you continue to add more of your excellent photographs to this group.
Hi PhotosByG. Thanks so much for featuring my work. Greatly appreciated! :-) I just thought I should let you know though, that I can’t actually see it among the featured work in the group. I can see everyone else’s work whose was featured at the same time as mine….but not mine….I think something may have gone wrong. :-(
Sorry Napier, you are right, I forgot to actually click on the feature button. I have just done that now and it is well and truly featured now. I apologise for missing that earlier and thanks for pointing it out. Cheers, Graham.
Thanks for fixing the problem and thanks so much once again for featuring my work! :-)
The whole combination is really different, it gives it a unique look, it is brilliant.
Thanks so much, Marilyn! :-) I always try my best to see things from a slightly different point of view, expecially when it is something so iconic and so photographed as some of the subject matter in this scene is. As I said to someone else on another of my other shots, I’m not sure I always manage that, LOL, but it is always my endeavour… Thanks once again! :-)
Great shot, looks like the city is out of place and it should all be just trees and harbor. The tree is gaining some ground.
LOL. Thanks, Michael. I hadn’t thought about it like that. Maybe I should have called it, ‘Return to Nature’. :-)
Coooool… Like it a lot! Favorite!
Thanks heaps, Marcov and thanks for ‘favouriting’ me! Greatly appreciated! :-)
