using the arch is a classic way to frame a shot. always difficult to balance the interior and exterior light, but you did that well. truly a unique view of the ubiquitous opera house. the fence makes a great leading line through the frame. well done.
Thanks once again J.K. Yes, you’re certainly right about the difficulty of inside and outside. A lot of people turn to HDR to assist with that problem but I haven’t used HDR on this shot (or any of my uploaded shots as a matter of fact). Thanks again. :-)
Wow.. what a tough shot. The framing and light are beautiful! I love the tip of light on the fronds at the top of the arch.. very inviting lines. Wonderful
Thanks again, Maureen! :-) Yes, I have never seen a shot from this angle (or anything similar) of the Sydney Opera House, myself, even though it is one of the most photographed objects in Australia. People seem to walk on by and not see the framing potential at this location, even though the shot has ostensibly been there for the taking since the Opera House was built. Yes, I am very attracted to trees that are lit at night, myself! There is something magical about them. Thanks once again! :-)
Great Capture!!!Please consider putting this into the Which Way – walkways, pathways, stairways, and roadways group.
Thanks so much, Cee! :-) How could I resist such a kind invitation. I certainly will! Thanks again! :-)
