Jimbolaya: Thank you. I use a Canon Rebel XTi and I edit almost EVERYTHING. I can’t seem to ever leave anything alone and I am rather addicted to that whole process. I use Photoshop CS3 and Lightroom.

this drought has taken all the strength and made the country buckle
when was the last time in our minds did we grumble of the rain
hated it for drowning crops wished it never came again

and now the storms of red dust fly and cover coast and sea
what’s left to yield the farmers cry to feed both you and me
the earth is turning strangely now a new age on the verge
will man survive evolve derive this natural wrath and surge

at last when gentle rains do fall a child’s first taste of bliss
reminds us of the joy we had we sit and reminisce
dancing in the mud soaked ground drenched right to the core
like a generation of our youth have never done before

so ban the plastic bottle and consider our predicament
without our precious water spared our life will be full spent!

People NOT in country Australia (or other areas of the world where droughts destroy so much) just do not understand the intense despair of never seeing rain for decades!
It hit home to me when my children were more excited about going to a friends who had tank water & could still “use a sprinkler!” than to go to the movies! “The Sprinkler’s Back YAY!!!” was their excited cry!
Well I saw your image and these words filled my head (as they tend to do! lol)
