Beautiful, Nancy!!!!!

Kind of dark mood….looks like winter…..no blue sky…......no green trees….dormant grass. I think the processing would be perfect if this were a summer original. Great color and contrast on the stonework. Green trees…..partly cloudy sky…..some blue…... would make it perfect!...... IMO.

Rany: thank you!!!! I was intending a “dark mood” which is not everyones flavor but I wanted it to appear cold. I will have to take a picture again….maybe do a 4 seasons collage.

Beautiful house, excellent image. It almost looks like a vintage Christmas card – just need some tastefull decorations. The muted tones are great.

Just walk down the drive, follow the road for a mile and take a relaxing sail in the bay. Yeah, I could live there.

Thank you Jim!!!!.... I use Lightroom for most of my editing…. I swear by Lightroom for getting just the right color that I have in mind. Then I used photoshop and added a bit of an afternoon glow and used the history brush on the house.

When we were designing our house, this was one of the styles that I really liked, with the turreted tower and the wrap around porch. We ended up with something completely different!

wow! what a gorgeous dream house! Mine too, now :) have you ever seen the inside? I would dearly love to see the inside; I’ll bet there are a fair amount of ghosts in that house; how old is the house? I love the effects you did to it. When I first looked at this photo it reminded me of some X-MAS cards I send out each year; old homes are so fantastically homey looking, especially when there is snow!

Thank you for all you wonderful comments! I have never seen the inside. My best friend lives across the street and she has never been in there as well. I would LOVE to see it. The whole street is full of homes this grand …but this one has always stood out to me the most.
