Another amazing image! All of your flowers framed in black are excellent!

  • Nancy Polanski replied

I can’t thank you enough for checking out the gallery and leaving such nice comments. This is one of my personal favorites. I bought this print from Red Bubble. It’s the only thing of my own that I have hanging in my house.

This one is truly wonderful! There are several other ‘multiple flower’ shots, but this one I like the best. Black and yellow make really nice contract. And the colours are so intense! Love it! Maybe I should go the florist once and get me some nice study objects :-)

  • Nancy Polanski replied

Yes, I believe you should! There is so much to see in a flower! I’m especially fond of this image because these flowers were taken from the garden at my son’s house. He really wanted me to make something nice out of them. So this was done for him.

Beautiful image… I must say you have some wonderful flower shots in your portfolio… I’m really enjoying the ones with special light just like this one.

  • Nancy Polanski replied 21 days ago

Thanks for all your complimentary comments and your Favoriting of this image, Wojciech. I’m especially glad that you like this one because it has always been one of my own favorites too.

The reason you like the lighting on these is because they are Scans, meaning I place the flowers directly on the scanner. No camera. But the finished image came only after a long time in Paint Shop Pro. The initial scan did not look this good. So if you try it, and want the best results, be prepared to do a lot of post-scanning work on it.

Please accept my thanks for your interest!
