Outside of the resorts in the Dominican Republic you will find overwhelming poverty. There is lot of construction going on and you will see tons of people waiting for someone willing to give them a ride to work each day (for a price) . It looked like there were piles of broken cement everywhere but it was not. The soil there is made up mostly of some kind of white rock or hard substance. When I saw the type of work most of these people did in the heat of the day for just a few dollars a day shoveling piles and plies of this cement like rock, I realized I have no right to complain about my work or anything else for that matter. These people work physically harder then anything I have ever had to do with little reward. The lack of clarity is due to the windshield of the travel bus.
