New Glass Cave at Wombeyan Caves has one of the finest displays of helictites I have seen.
The way helictites form is still a bit of a mystery as they seem to have the ability (as shown here) to defy gravity and grow upwards……

    I’ll avoid the obvious (and crude) suggestion that springs to mind…..I’m taken with this though, love the way the light shines through the structures…….off to Wiki to research helictites…Nice one, Boz.

    This series is great, and I hope you have some success with it.
    I thought of you over the weekend, when a guy who was trapped in the Wombeyan Caves was on the News.
    They are getting a lot of publicity lately.
