Don’t be overly paranoid wondering if these brightly coloured fellows are talking about you in front of your back Mr B.

Love the bold, bright, crisp, clear colours on these chaps which stand out prominently in the crystal clear focus against the subdued soft background.

  • Andrew Bosman replied

I reckon the two on the right were talking about me….
One’s whispering to the other: “See the dork with the black box pointed at us? I hope he didn’t pay for that haircut cause if he did he should ask for his money back!”
No, I’m not paranoid at all!
    Thanks Mr C.

    Who knows…???
I was doing Tai Chi under a huge tree the other day and all these parrots were making heaps of noise and chatting like that….I think they thought I was their entertainment….and like you wondered what they were talking about….lol

I think they were likely saying “hey… see that two legged non-flyer over there? I dare you to go and drop a bomb on his black box”

Gorgeous riot of colour Boz :)

Do they talk? I thought they all scream….all the time ;) Like a gaggle of drunk teenagers, especially at this time of year when the nectar is plentiful! Love the DOF here Boz….gorgeous specular highlights too.

  • Andrew Bosman replied

    Thanks Mel.
These buggers would have to be the bossiest bird we get. We have a pair that visit regularly and while one is feeding the other stands guard and chases away all and sundry and then they switch rolls! Sometimes I think I should have shot them with a different type of canon…..

I think you captured a drug deal in progress. That lorikeet looks like he was showing off his wares to the others!

    Great capture mate.

  • Andrew Bosman replied

Bloody hell Shaddy, I was drinking a cup of coffee when I read your comment and nearly spat it all over my keyboard… VERY funny and very fitting for these rogues, I could imagine them as drug lords!

“I can’t possibly be talking about you, my mouth is full of my own feathers! Silly bird.” Wonderful shot of these gorgeously coloured natives. They stand out so well against your soft background, and the details and colours are crisp and bright.
