Banksia Flower

This Banksia flowers at Christmas time around here. Not sure of its Botanical Name. Its a great flower for Christmas Table decorations as it has a leave very similar to Holley leaves.

    I’m fairly sure it’s Moonbeam Grevillea (Coreopsis verticillata) my favourite of all the hybrid grevillea. Great shot. :)

    Thanks Maximus but methinks not a hybrid as its too prolifically wild here.

    There are hundreds and hundreds of their bushes and I think some of them are really old cause they are trees as big as a melaluka… But I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the master stock for it as its so beautiful and prolific flowerer.
