At the mouth of the White Oak River sit the seaside town of Swansboro, an excellent safe harbor for many boats.. With both plenty of restaurants and fresh seafood markets it is a natural santurary for North Carolina’s pelicans as well..
Another home ruin brah’….great detail on the yachts…white on white on white….and the feathers look perfect…Freshly trimmed messy palms right on ….
Yeah, that white on white is a challenge. Thanks for a great comment kj.
LOL! Perfect title! I love everything about this one. Those boats & bark on the palms are so very well done. You truly outdid yourself on this one, Jim Bob….let’s see how you’re gonna top it!
Thanks Marsha, really kind of you. I started to name it, “Move the Boats, I’m Coming In!”
This is marvellous Jim…a real winner…I can actually feel the heat of the sun on my skin, which I really need right now…this just takes the viewer away completely to another space and time…
I know you’ve been getting snow and cold temps, but we’re still averaging between 55 and 65 degrees fahrenheit. What can I say Janis, other than move to North Carolina…LOL Thanks for a great comment.
Like I said on FB…OMG! Spectacular! Boggles my mind!
Love you comment Susan, thanks dear.
Nice lighting and shadows on this lovely painting, Jim!
You do recognize the location I know, seeing that it’s not that far from you. Hint: leaving Onslow entering Carteret. Regardless thanks Jennifer.
wow…this is fabulous, Jim!!! love the albatross!!
Thank you Sally. It could very well be a albatross, it’s actually a brown pelican. It’s hard to tell when we can’t see the bill. Thanks for that lovely comment.
Beautiful painting Jim wonderful details
Thanks Maggie for a very fine comment.
Ooooo…. I like this one very much! It oozes warmth and summer. Those boats are amazing and I expect the palm trees to move at any time with the gentle breeze!
The photo I took and then worked from was taken last week and it was kinda breezy and cool. The sun was bright and the sky clear so it is deceaving. Thanks Colombe.
Wow. This is lovely. At first glance I thought it a photograph. But then I saw it was a remarkable painting.
How sweetly put Joyce, thank you for that lovely comment.
I love it Jim : ) well done… it made me smile! Wendy <3 xx
