Acrylic painting on 20″×16″ Canvas Panel
There are still just a few beaches along North Carolina’s coastline where the only structures can be seen at a great distance. I recall as a young teenage surfer discovering many deserted stretches of coastline. Sadly enought those are days gone by.
Fabulous I love the sky , I can’t paint skies or water for some reason . x
Skys were a challenge for me as well, I think I just kept trying. I still think some I hit and some I miss. Delighted you like this one Irene.
Thank you very much Dianne.
Nice one Jim – come over here some time – there are plenty of beaches with nothing for miles. Pretty scary for swimming or surfing though!
Terri if you only knew how bad I have wanted to visit your country. We won’t call it impossible, but the odds are probably against it. I would love to see some long stretches of coastline uneffected by man.
Delighted you think so, thank you Robin.
Love that dramatic sky!
Glad you liked the sky…… I imagine when you opened it the first reaction was, “Oh darn, another boat painting from Jim.” LOL Don’t ya just hate people who simply can’t take a compliment and keep their mouth shut! Thank you Marsha.
Yes I agree…so many special spots have been abused by humans…You need to surf maui brah’……ya think we could still keep our balance…Great piece you composed here……
Thanks KJ, I knew that you would relate. And brah’ I don’t surf much of anywhere anymore. Boogyboard with granddaughters and that’s about it.
Yea, deserted stretches of coast line are a real luxury these days… and THESE clouds are something to be proud of Jim!
Yeah, I believe we can mutually pat each other on the back for our clouds this go round Maree….lol. Thanks for a nice comment.
Nice one Jim. We have miles and miles of beautiful white beaches and only the occasional shark to worry about !!
We get the occassional shark attack on a swimmer, but truthfully they are very few and far between. Thanks Norah.
Simply lovely, great mood! I am fascinated by old boats!
I love boats as well Angie. Today I enjoy looking at them. Over the years I’ve owned several, and as the old joke goes, " A boat is an object that creates a hole in the water in which one may pour their money." Only it’s no joke!
Pure solitude and theatre to your gorgeous beach scene , beautiful acrylics Jim
If I could hire you on as my public relations and ad guy I would have it made….Thanks Paul.
